Located in the east of mount Sabalan and about 60 km away from the Caspian Sea, the Ardabil city dates back to Sasanian period. Yet, the greatest attraction of the city, The Unesco-listed Sheikh Safi-od-Din Mausoleum, is a monument from Savafid dynasty. Traveling to a city the with Mt. Sabalan snow-topped peak in the landscape and the Shurabil Lake in the south of the city, turns Ardabil and its nature into a must-see destination. However, the complement of the trip would be a visit to Sara’eyn county, the pleasant hot spring (Spas) of which is famouse and of significance in terms of therapeutic values.
*Please note that optional activities, including visiting hot-spring resort of Sara’eyn, are available at an extra cost.
