The holy shrine is a vast series of sacred environ areas known as Haram-e Razavi. Nevertheless, Mashhad has lot more to offer to tourists. Take your time to visit museums of the shrine complex. And yet there is more! Here you can also visit a monumental dedicated to Ferdowsi, the famous poet and author of the Shah-nameh. The mausoleum is located in Tus, a significant town until 1389.
