in the Isfahan province, 40km before the city of Natanz, at the foot of Mt. Karkas, there lies a village known as the red clay village: Abyaneh Village. Abyaneh is a multi-leveled village constructed by local materials. People are mostly farmers, orchardists and ranchers.
The red clay village is one of the most extraordinary villages of Iran. Imagine wandering in alleys where all walls and buildings are red. The characteristic of this red clay is that with every rain the clay becomes harder. On these spectacular wall, you see exquisite Lattice wooden windows where kind smiles of locals await.
The historical village is undoubtedly the main attraction of this trip. With its red mud-brick walls, alluring wooden balconies and lattice windows, the ancient village still has its traditional atmosphere. People here wear special clothes and speak the Middle Persian language.

Dates back to the Sassanid era, the fire temple is called Harpak. The temple is the oldest monument of the village. The four-vaulted temple is a sample of Zoroastrian fire temples.
