It is better to know Imam Khomeini Airport includes two great mobile data operators, Hamrahe Aval (MCI) and Irancell (MTN). You have to buy a prepaid SIM Card in Arrivals Lobby from official stores or purchase a prepaid Sim Card via valid sellers all over the country.

Required documents for getting a SIM card
To buy a SIM card, you need to have a passport, then fill a form about your exact information, finally, after passing these steps, only you can get a prepaid SIM card, not a postpaid one, from Hamrahe Aval operator. Remember, you have to register your mobile phone and pay its tax if you prefer to use a local SIM card for more than a month from the beginning time of using the SIM Card.

The Activation process of SIM card
You have to know the prepaid SIM cards that you buy in Imam Khomeini Airport are activated. Dial * 141* 1 # [YES / OK] to activate your Hamrahe Aval prepaid SIM card, before receiving the first call. By making the first call or send a message, your SIM card will be activated. If you cant active the Sim card, go to the official stores and ask them to do it for you. Please remember, in some cases, the activation process of the Hamrahe Aval SIM card takes 24 hours after buying.

How to change the language?
Non-Iranian users have to change the menu language to English to use Iranian SIM cards. Turn your Hamrahe Aval SIM card menu language to English via the following activation code:

Internet activation
I) At first, you need to send your activation request via two following code:
- Dialing *10*231# to request internet activation.
- Sending a text message "1" to 8088.
II) Now is time to receive internet settings via one of the following methods:
- To receive automatic Internet settings, send your mobile type and model or serial number (IMEI) via SMS to 8008
- Note: By dialing the activation code of *#06#, the 15-digit serial number (IMEI) is displayed on your mobile screen.
- If your handset is not able to receive automatic Internet settings, follow the instructions below to insert the Internet settings manually:
- For Android: Go to Settings > More networks > Mobile Networks > insert the values of the table below
- For iOS: Go to Settings > cellular > Cellular Data Network > insert the values of the table below
